PGA Show Recap

I just returned home from the PGA Show in Orlando, Florida.  It was an amazing time being able to see what the latest and greatest is in the golf industry!   Also, it is great getting to network and talk with some of the biggest names in the industry and further my knowledge and understanding of the golf swing.  There are 3 great products in particular that I am very excited to bring to my students.

The first product that I’m excited about is the X3 from Flightscope.  The technology that goes into this device is incredible!  The innovated software allows me to get the data from the device itself, while simultaneously taking 2 slow-motion videos.  All of that information comes together on one device and I am able to look at the numbers as well as the videos for swing analysis.  This helps to produce consistent gains with every lesson.

The second product that I am excited about is called the Planemate.  The Planemate is a belt that goes on your waist with an exercise band attached to your golf club and the belt.  This training aid has 3 main purposes to help you with your golf swing.  The first thing it helps is your initial takeaway position, second it helps the transition from backswing to downswing.  Lastly, it helps with extension after impact.  This training aid will be great in helping my students improve on those very important positions.

Lastly, I’m very excited about the new Callaway Epic Flash driver.  It is the first driver face made with artificial intelligence.  That’s a scary thought! But the club is producing faster speeds resulting in longer drives, and who does not want longer drives?

Overall, I had an incredible couple of days and I can’t wait to bring this technology and new found knowledge back to my students to help them improve their game!
